Combined Capabilities

Between both facilities, our combined capability set covers the full tooling lifecycle, from first concept to final production run.

Tool & Die Design

CAD/CAM design using Logopress3, SolidWorks, CATIA V5, and UG NX. Strip layouts, die simulation, springback analysis, and forming process development before a single piece of metal is cut.

Die Construction

Progressive, transfer, line, compound, and single-hit dies. Capable of handling programs ranging from small prototype runs to large complex automotive structural tools — with in-die tapping and fastener insertion.

Press Tryout & Stamping

In-house press tryout from 150 to 2,250 tons eliminates the need to ship tooling offsite for validation. Short-run production stamping available. Experienced tryout team to troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues on the spot.

Die Repair & EC

Emergency and scheduled die repair with same-day turnaround available. Engineering change requests managed efficiently to minimize production downtime. Reverse engineering available when prints don't exist.

CNC Machining

Multi-axis precision CNC machining with centralized programming. From tight-tolerance die components to production parts, our machinists produce to the specifications your tooling program demands.

EDM Machining

Wire EDM for hard materials, intricate contours, and complex internal geometries, down to R.001" internal corners. Five Mitsubishi machines at Tool Tech; three Charmilles 4–5 axis machines at Cameron Tool.

Water Jet Cutting

Abrasive water jet cutting for virtually any material from 1/16" to 10" thick, without altering the metal's structural properties. OMAX 36"×52" and Flow WMC 60"×96" machines on-site.

Die Details

High-quality die components and complete progressive and transfer dies sourced through vetted global partners. We manage design, quality inspection, and delivery.

Special Machines & Fixtures

Custom specialty machines, testing apparatus, ergonomic lifting devices, and production line fixtures, designed and built from the ground up by Tool Tech's in-house team of designers, machinists, and control technicians.

Die Details & LCC Sourcing

Precision die details and kit dies sourced through exclusive vetted low-cost-country facilities, with Cameron Tool project managers on-site ensuring quality, material compliance, and on-time delivery. Kit dies ship to Lansing for assembly and USA tryout before anything reaches the customer. Fully backed by Cameron Tool.

Engineering Change Management

Streamlined engineering change handling to minimize production downtime when customer designs change mid-program. We manage the design review, tooling modification, and tryout validation in-house so your stamping line does not sit idle waiting on coordination between multiple vendors to catch up with your schedule.

Global Hybrid Tooling

AutoForm simulation software and a global hybrid tooling program backed by exclusive offshore partner shops. Cameron handles all design review, communication, and quality inspection end-to-end. Customers get international sourcing cost savings without giving up Cameron Tool accountability on every program.

Our Story

Stonger Together

In January 2023, Tool Tech, LLC, a Springfield, Ohio institution since 1985, acquired Cameron Tool Corporation of Lansing, Michigan, a company built on over 55 years of automotive tooling excellence. The combination was strategic by design.

Tool Tech brings speed, versatility, and a broad range of specialty services, from PVD coatings and water jet cutting to custom fixture building and emergency same-day repair. Cameron Tool brings scale, press capacity, and a deep-rooted reputation with automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and defense contractors.

Together, the two facilities give customers a single, trusted partner capable of handling any tooling program from first concept through full production, regardless of complexity or volume.

"The combined capabilities of Tool Tech and Cameron Tool allow us to better serve our customer base and pursue new opportunities for growth."
